Naun-cence

This evening I was going through my collection of e-books, hoping to clean up so that i could free up some space on my hard disk for some much needed downloads(Phew! I'm outta breath..).And i happened to get stuck on this one book, Limericks the Book of Nonsense! Whoa!! This is one of those books which you will start reading apparently for no reason, but the title. A wacky and ludicrous title always arouses curiosity, starting with this one[:)]. The book didn't fail my expectations, not that i had many, nevertheless, this is a specimen of what i found inside:

There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, 'It is just as I feared!
Two Owls and a Hen,
Four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!'

Был один старичок в бороде,
Он сказал: «Так и знал, быть беде!
Две совы и несушка,
Корольки и кукушка
Свили гнёзда в моей бороде!»

There was a Young Lady of Ryde,
Whose shoe-strings were seldom untied;
She purchased some clogs,
And some small spotted dogs,
And frequently walked about Ryde.

Клоги юная леди из Райда
Шнуровала весьма аккурайдо
И, печатая шаг,
Свору пёстрых собак
Проводила по улицам Райда.

My best guess about the second language is that its Russian, google translator almost justifies my conclusion,Hooray!!.

Here goes the definition(Oh! Come on everyone copies from Wiki):
What are Limericks?
A limerick is a five-line poem with a strict form, originally popularized in English by Edward Lear. Limericks are witty or humorous, and sometimes obscene with humorous intent.(Courtesy: Wiki) Loved it esp this one,There once was a man from Nantucket.

The authors must have had as much fun as we've had reading these.(Supposedly a punch line for a punchy end) Hoping to write one or two myself, getting them to sound witty would be the hard part.(The follow up to the previous punch line) [:D]

P S: For copies of the book contact Inq. And I've got nothing better to do...
