And like that.. He's gone..

Life changes at the blink of an eye,if not faster. Just to remind you that you are getting older by every day, every week, every month and in the end every year, some sadist of an old bastard made up this thing called calender. Shit! Time flies. It's only a matter of seconds according to a dear friend of mine, yeah nano seconds.. Another year is about to end and i'm in office, retrospecting. Some must be having a blast (grrr... ), some might be alone, stuck somewhere, for some reason, and hell a lot will be boozing their way to the new year(just another reason of course),including my mentors! ;)

Thinking back, 2010 has been the cornerstone. My life has taken a turn and there is no looking back now, which is what i do the most nowadays. Ha! the good times! :)

I'm happy now, thinking of all the wonderful people 2010 had given me, of all those who stayed back after whatever happened in 2009, all the wonderful time i've had with each one of them. I've grown in many ways, i've moved out of home(finally..), started making decisions for myself (burp!), a sort of relaxed responsibility, I've laughed my heart out, cried my eyes dry in despair, I've danced around like a lunatic tribal dancer, jumping and howling, i've been in and out of touch, i've hurt and got hurt, i've forgiven and forgotten, and not, I've loved and wasnt, when was, haven't. I've made resolutions and never followed them, damn!

2010 I'll miss you, you've given me memories to cherish, wish i had a locker to keep them all safe along with the password (jeez, how to open now? Infinite loops are a speciality!). Even bugs in my designs will have to wait an year now.[buhahaha, beat it suckers, this is what you pay for making my life hard]! \m/

Wishing everyone of you out there a very special new year! Bonne Année ! :)

Namma Ooru Bengaluru..

Some observations,some miscalculations,total randomness,Life.

31st Jan 2009,

10 days since I landed in the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore or colloquially speaking Bengaluru. One among the thousands of young brains pouring in,for a better job,a better life. This place is a whole new experience . To compare Bangalore and Trivandrum is pretty much a no job. You can easily fit in atleast 5 Trivandrums in Bangalore, with twice the number of people in each one. Not just the people, the shops, the traffic, the dust, dogs, pretty much everything can be doubled . This place is huge, really huge.

One of the main things that attract people to this place is undoubtedly the climate. Just one word to describe it-pleasant.Throughout the year. For people from the hotter parts of the country this place sure is Heaven, certainly with downsides.

Bangalore's a very well planned city, thanks to the genius of Kempe Gowda, which pretty much complicates the travel affair here. You'll find loads of layouts, main roads, gardens, phases, blocks, crosses,'-hallis','nagars'... Phew! And most houses here lack the concept of a lawn, reason is pretty obvious.

My little advice to anyone intending to travel around here is get a bike. BMTC is a good service but you always have to find connecting buses. And in haphazard Bangalorean traffic nothing's more suited than a two-wheeler. If you want edge-of-the-seat experience catch an auto-rickshaw, they'll just whisk you out of any traffic, dodge the traffic signals, overtake an SUV,teach some local slang, what not! Of course ignore the evil eyes and the meter readings.

This is a harmonious place. Here people from every corner of the world, mostly from India live in total harmony. If you think its only the people you got it wrong. Even the dogs have taken up to the city life. They are just everywhere. Nothing bothers them in the world it seems. A perfectly peaceful lot. Though there are occasional break outs and mob wars they have quietly taken their place amongst the citizens of this city.

All said, I love this place for one really good thing, it has helped me stay with the people I've always wanted to be with, my friends. This is a strange city with strangely named places, strange language, strange food and water, strange roads and strange smell. What better way to start a new life.

Life's never been better, even though I miss home and family. For now I'll go by what Bangalore is saying, "Enjoy Maadi...".

At the Crossroads..

A journey has ended and another is about to begin.

Life as I've known for the past 22 years will end tonight. I'll leave the place I've called Home and go in search of a new life, a new home. Happy and sad at the same time. Happy coz now i get to see the world, be on my own. Sad coz nothing like Home Sweet Home!

I get the feeling I'm gonna miss a lot of things and even more people. Aargh! Life moves on..

P.S:I don't wanna sleep tonight.Just want to enjoy, feel every second of it, like there's never gonna be one like it anymore. But I'm pretty sure this is just the beginning of my sleepless nights.

Sail away, it's time to leave
Rainy days are yours to keep
Fade away, the night is calling my name
You will stay, I'll sail away
